Baby It's Cold Outside

Remember your winter outerwear can be fashionable and stylish too! Choose coats and accessories in your best colors and flattering styles for your body shape just like you do for your everyday clothes!

Here are some of my favorites this YEAR plus style tips for your body shape.

I love this one. Guaranteed to be one of the chicest jackets you'll ever own, this plush style deserves to be seen around town. It features generous length and front pockets with a button closure—not to mention an animal print that's always on-trend. Take it out and about for a fierce feeling that lasts all day.

TRENCH COAT trending big this season. You will see it in many patterns. Plaid is is one of my favorites. Perfect your plaid game with this menswear-inspired coat, styled with front pockets and a button closure.

Wrap yourself in PLAID and you'll always look fabulous. This super-soft cardigan is relaxed and cozy, with a lovely draped front. As you can see - looks great with a pair of leggings. This style wont work on all body types so be careful or this will make you really boxy.

Puffer jackets and coat are still in Trend this season. This could work for everyone (the coat) this style should not be snug around your challenged areas. Perfect for your ski trip or winter voyage, this puffer jacket keeps you warm—in the chicest way possible. Best of all, this quilted style packs into a matching bag to make travel a cinch.

We never met a woman who didn't look fabulous in this QUILTED jacket. Your most difficult decision will be which color to choose. This one comes in many colors.

Not good for every BODY but a great easy piece for us southern girls.

Here are a few tips for finding the most flattering fit for you body shape.

PETITE - If you have a smaller frame or stand anywhere below 5'4" try a cropped coat with an on trend fur collar. Classic pea coats always look great on a short frame, as they elongate and tend to fit to your body.

PEAR SHAPE - If you find that you gain your weight in the bootie area, a great way to balance out the body is with a "wrap coat". Contrasting statement colors near the face, like on collars or scarves, help draw the eye upward as well if that's an insecurity for you.

APPLE SHAPE - If you have a little extra fluff around the midsection, try finding coats with A-line silhouettes. This will help slim the waist and create a mice clean line. Coats with fringe, beautiful embroidery or collar accents will also draw the eye up and onto your beautiful face.

CURVY SHAPE - If you are rockin those beautiful curves, look for a "wrap coat" or any form of jacket with a tie waist. Not only will they accentuate the waist, but they will give you a chic, tailored look.

Until next time - warmest wishes,
